Herpes has been around since ancient times. Herpes has no cure and finding a cure for herpes is proving so hard due to the fact that it hides in the nerve endings between outbreaks. It is for this reason that your body's defense mechanism which is the immune system cannot destroy the herpes virus as it does with other viruses.
Herpes manifests in an outbreak of tiny vessicles manily around the genital area which later turn into open lesions. After an attack the herpes virus retreats back to the nerve endings and hides, making it difficult to treat or to find a cure.
Finding A Herpes Cure Research
We know there is no herpes cure available, there are presciption drugs that can help suppress the herpes virus and also natural creams and lotions that will kill the virus on contact
Many people wonder if the medical industry is actually making any progress to find a herpes cure. In reality this virus is going to be very hard to cure, because it is a virus. Typically we have to rely on our bodies to kill these viruses. But with herpes, when our bodies go to fight the infection, the virus beats a hastyretreat into the nerve endings and lies dormant. It is safe there from attacks by the immune system , and the only time that it reappears is when another herpes outbreak happens.
Herpes Cure Drugs
Although there is no herpes cure, the herpes outbreaks can be suppressed with some of the anti-viral mediactions available. There is also not a vaccine that can effect a cure for the herpes virus.
Prevention won't cure herpes, but...
Don't have unprotected sex with new partners or if you know or suspect your partner may be infected with herpes. This alone will help enormously in preventing you from getting infected with the herpes virus.
Also oral sex is another primary source of herpes infection. Oral infections on the inside of the mouth are happening more and more every day. So when any oral sexual activity is being considered one should also use some form of protection as well. Again, the protection is not a cure for herpes but it just reduces the risk of becoming infected.
Refraining from having any sexual contact with others is the only sure way to avoid herpes infections.
